Falls and Rock Art

This is the perfect introduction to the Churchill River, and an ideal trip if you've only got a few days in Saskatchewan's Canoe Country. Starting and ending in Missinipe from our canoe dock here at CRCO, this trip takes you through the famous French-Ducker loop, past the rock art in Rattler Creek. A campsite between the mighty upper and lower North Falls on the Churchill River completes this wilderness canoeing adventure. Difficulty: Novice | July 16-20, 2019 | $1295 + GST

Forest House

The MacLennan Lakes area is very similar to the famous canoe country of Algonquin and Killarney except with far shorter portages and true wilderness. In the center of MacLennan Lakes there is a lovely lodge that serves as the perfect basecamp for shorter trips. Access is either by canoe or motorboat. Staffed by a custodian and cook, this is the best in luxury canoe tripping! Difficulty: Novice to Intermediate | $ Charged nightly with minimum 3-night stay.

Porcupine River

Ric Driediger is often asked what his favourite river in the north is. Without hesitation he will tell you it is the Porcupine. The reasons are simple: true wilderness, exquisite beauty, and classic canoe tripping. The only caveat is that due to its remote and wild setting you need to have strong and confident leadership to run this river safely. Difficulty: Intermediate olto Advanced | August 5-16, 2019 | $4995 + GST

Paull River

The Paull River is everyone else's favourite Churchill River trip. Starting at Paull Lake this trip takes you down the low volume Paull River through a half dozen Class II rapids and into the mighty Chruchill at Trout Falls. From there down to Missinipe you are enjoying the best of the classic Churchill shield country up to the Class II Otter Rapids, which with its 800 m of huge standing waves is an impressive way to finish the trip. Difficulty: Novice to Intermediate | August 11-16 | $2495 + GST

Hawkrock River

The Hawkrock has recently seen a lot of action and has become the most sought after river in the north. And rightly so -- it hits all the checkboxes: For a northern river it's easy to access; it fits neatly into a one-week time slot; it contains many excellent, long technical Class II rapids that are neither pushy nor dangerous; the camping is truly outstanding; the fishing is varied and plentiful; and the wildlife sightings are almost as bountiful as the infinity of blueberries what more can we say! Difficulty: Intermediate to Advanced | June 30 - July 6, August 18-24, 2019 | $2995 + GST
