How To Get To This Trip

Make your way to Saskatoon SK (YXE), From Saskatoon, you will be picked up at 11am on Day 1 by CRCO staff and shuttled by Van (5 hrs) to Missinipe which is our home base  and the launch point to the expedition. Alternatively you may drive to Missinipe yourself.  Missinipe is located 480 km north of Saskatoon SK.

Follow the historic Fur Trade Highway on a fully guided 9-day wilderness journey that begins the moment you land in Saskatoon. The adventure starts as you board the shuttle to our secluded Paddlers Lodge in Missinipe, sharing a meal with your guide and fellow guests. You’ll settle in for the night, but the real thrill begins the next morning: a floatplane lifts off over endless forest and sparkling lakes, delivering you 100 km upstream on the Churchill River. From that very first breathtaking view, it’s clear — this is a wilderness unlike any other.

Over the next seven days, you’ll paddle through island-dotted lakes connected by warm, playful rapids, discovering hidden waterfalls, quiet coves, and landscapes that have barely changed since the voyageurs navigated these waters centuries ago. Evenings are spent around the campfire, enjoying chef inspired meals, swapping stories, and listening to the haunting calls of loons under endless northern skies.

After your final paddle, you’ll return to Missinipe for a hot shower and a celebratory meal, recounting your adventure before the shuttle carries you back to Saskatoon the next morning — with memories that will stay with you forever.
