Paull River

With a short flight and a week-long paddle to Missinipe, a Paull River trip is on many bucket lists of northern Saskatchewan paddlers.

After a float plane lands you in Paull Lake's Taylor Bay, you might choose to explore the northern portion of this beautiful lake. Search for a gravesite near one of its sand beaches.

Intermediate paddlers can choose to run several of the rapids, and some are reserved only for expert paddlers. Portaging or lining is always an option when your scouting of the rapid requires it. As with many rivers, the characteristics of the Paull River changes with its water level. Tuck Falls and the gorge are two photo-worthy sites on the Paull River.

Once off the Paull River, sift the sandy beaches of McIntosh Lake. Wilderness canoeing on the Churchill River to Missinipe is spectacular! Montreal River Outpost provides shuttle service to Missinipe. This is a northern Saskatchewan trip to savor.
