If you have just a few days to paddle, the McLennan Lake Canoe Area Small Circle Route is a great choice. It combines paddling on medium-sized lakes like McLennan, Davis, and Versailles with smaller ones. With numerous islands and smaller lakes, this route is a great place to learn how to wilderness canoe.

Your put-in and take-out for this trip is the same, just down from Bear's Camp. This resort offers parking for a nominal fee. Montreal River Outpost offers shuttle service to McLennan Lake as well
