Like dominoes, you will see Markers 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, & 1 of the 46 on Lac La Ronge, before sighting La Ronge and the tri-community from a lake viewpoint.

Communication between bow and stern paddlers is necessary when wind conditions exist. Knowing where you are on the lake is key, so that you have safety in mind as you explore. Take advantage of low wind times in the morning and evening. Perhaps an afternoon siesta on shore?

If you have more time, paddling to Wadin Bay, English Bay, Nut Bay, and McGibbon Bay or exploring the central islands of Lac La Ronge are great options. Portaging not required on this fantastic northern Saskatchewan adventure!
