Explore Upstream
Visitors to Missinipe who are not experienced canoeists have the opportunity to explore and experience the wonders of the Churchill River, by taking a guided boat trip upstream. Our experienced guides will take you up Otter Rapids, through Devil's Lake to spectacular scenery and boiling whitewater. You will vist areas such as, Surf City, The Farside, Barker Lake, and Sluice Falls. View Eagles and Osprey, as they fish the riffles and pools. Don't forget your fishing rod! Giant Northern Pike cruise these waters, and the Walleye fishing is second-to-none.
Explore Downstream
The Churchill River was a "highway" for the aboriginal peoples, early explorers, and fur traders. The area downstream from Churchill River Canoe Outfitters is rich in its history, providing a number of "must see" destinations. Visit the ancient Aboriginal Rock Paintings, tour the church at Stanley Mission, built in the 1850's, visit the magnificent NistowiakFalls, or the majestic Robertson Falls.
We can help you plan your day trip to these "jewels" of the Churchill, or arrange for one of our experienced guides to accompany you, as you re-live the past.
Enjoy Otter Rapids

When in Missinipe, Otter Rapids is a "must see". You won't be disappointed!
